Transmission ratio of 4 to 1 compared to a conventional peg. Excellent tuning accuracy. Self-locking gear - no sudden detuning of the instrument. Weather resistant - no jumping, no jammed peg. No wear on the peg hole. Long-term reliability. Reduced instrument maintenance. Planetary gears of high tensil steel in a shaft of aircraft-grade aluminium and Delrin nylon. Treble-side pegs have a left-hand thread and are marked on the end of the shank with a letter T. Bass-side pegs have a right-hand thread and are marked with a B. With ebony or ABS synthetic heads and in sets of 4- or 5-pegs available. The shank diameter refers to the abrasion of the instrument s peg hole. We recommend a diameter of 7.8 mm for new instruments and 9.00 mm for very old instruments. We suggest measuring the diameter of the peg hole before purchasing.
