Half-finished Cello frog Galliane ™

With the Galliane the bow can ideally adjust to the musician´s arm movement, creating a completely unknown pleasure of sound and playing experience.
Galliane™ was developed in 2007 by one of the most successful contemporary bow makers Bernoît Rolland. By means of a light angle at the base of the bow frog the hairband formerly parallel to the bow is turned in a slightly spiral way. The bow adjusts to the natural arm movement and the hairband lies with its larger surface on the strings, which improves both solidity and fullness of tone. This avant-garde bow frog differs from traditional models clearly in sound and art.

Please note that all Galliane™ models are supplied without metallic underslides, buttons, screws and eyelets. Galliane ™ and Galliane 441™ can be ordered with metallic underslides, as well as buttons, screws and eyelets on request.
The finished bow frogs are completely polished. The mortise is milled. The bow frog is manufactured at our workshop in Röttenbach, Germany. The bow frog has the following features: Silver mountings, carefully selected and well-seasoned ebony, Goldfish inlays, full-lined.
