Perfection Pegs, Viola 4/4, Ebony, Hill
Planetary gear for precise, fast and smooth tuning of violin, viola and cello under all conditions.
ADVANTAGES OF PERFECTION PEGS
Effortless, stable tuning by turning the head. Transmission ratio of 4 to 1 compared to a conventional peg. Excellent tuning accuracy. Self-locking gear - no sudden detuning of the instrument. Weather resistant - no jumping, no jammed peg. No wear on the peg hole. Long-term reliability. Reduced instrument maintenance.
Planetary gears of high tensil steel in a shaft of aircraft-grade aluminium and Delrin nylon.
Treble-side pegs have a left-hand thread and are marked on the end of the shank with a letter T.
Bass-side pegs have a right-hand thread and are marked with a B.
With ebony or ABS synthetic heads and in sets of 4- or 5-pegs available.
The shank diameter refers to the abrasion of the instrument s peg hole. We recommend a diameter of 7.8 mm for new instruments and 9.00 mm for very old instruments. We suggest measuring the diameter of the peg hole before purchasing.
